Peter Monaghan

A native from Ireland, Peter Monaghan had his first solo show in Dublin in 2002. Since then he has garnered attention for his three-dimensional wall-mounted works and architectural installations. Monaghan uses dowels, wood, plexiglass and other materials to create intriguing colorful constructions and serial assemblages. The works become activated as the viewer shifts positions. With color interplays and the illusion of movement delivering changes in their appearance. An award recipient, Monaghan has worked on numerous public commissions and architectural collaborations and has exhibited in Europe, Asia and the United States.
