Jill Moser

Dynamic applications of pigment interact with intentionally left blank spaces to form a visual language simultaneously exhibiting passion and restraint.  These abstractions are carefully put together; Moser prepares the surface, underpaints, meditatively applies and rubs away, leaving gestural ghosts beneath striking colors.  Her critically acclaimed artistic career has an extensive exhibition roster of solo and group exhibitions. Moser's work is found in major art museums in the United States, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery of Art.  She lives and works in New York City.
