Sarah Amos studied at the Phillip Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. She earned her MFA from the Vermont Studio Center/Johnson State College and became a Master Printer at the Tamarind Institute. She creates unique small and mural size collagraphs by building upon multiple prints with hand drawing overlay. Amos has received fellowships at the Santa Fe Institute Residency, the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in Ireland, and Kaus Australia Residency in Holland and most recently, the 2014 Painters & Sculptors Grant from the Joan Mitchell Foundation New York. She has also been and adjunct professor at Williams College and Dartmouth University. Her work is in the collections of the De Cordova Museum and Sculpture Park, the Tweed Museum, and Prudential Insurance, Boston. Amos originally hails from Australia and currently lives and works in Vermont.
